Vulpiano Records

Marilyn Roxie

Vulpiano Records was launched in November 2009 by synth musician Marilyn Roxie, initially as a place to house great unsigned and independent artists they had come in contact with through networking in the music blogosphere. The concept behind Vulpiano is simple: to offer quality free music. Genres we specialize in are ambient, electronic, and acoustic. All artists are linked by their spirit of independence and experimentation. We hope you enjoy and share the music. Are you a music blogger, podcaster, or film-maker looking to feature a Vulpiano track in your content non-commercially? You can utilize any of the tracks in the Vulpiano library free for streaming or download as long as you credit the artist!

Bisamråtta’s latest Vulpiano release is the two track Försiktigt/Manetar EP, following up on  Bisamråtta  (2013) and  their first solo EP  (2012). “Försiktigt” is beautiful and ghostly, a William Basinski-esque loop and spiral - 21 minutes of blissful oblivion. “Manetar” is more peaceful and compact, evoking a sensation of traveling while sitting still.

(VULP-0055) The second single pulled from J.G. Hackett's The Sins of Science , Shadow Torture is a stand-out track from the release, grandiose and somehow pretty and fragile at the same time, perhaps because of the lyrical content and intent behind the song. Hackett says: "This piece reflects on the difficulties of coping with internal pain and anxiety while trying to maintain an outer aura of competence - "I want nothing more than a stable mind, tired of waiting for justice."...
